AAI Year in Review 2020

As 2020 draws to a close, we all look back on the challenges we have faced. At AAI, we have turned these challenges into opportunities as we continue to lead in progressive competition research, education, and advocacy. With the support of sponsors and donors, 2020 was productive and innovative, even during difficult times. AAI’s work promoted vigorous enforcement of the antitrust laws, constructive reform proposals, and the importance of competition for consumers and workers. In 2020, AAI engaged on cutting-edge competition issues through our amicus program, white papers, letters, filings, and commentaries. We disseminated our work through new channels, including virtual events and our podcast series, “Ruled by Reason.” And we continued to expand our network of public and private enforcers, legislators, consumer advocates, academics, business leaders, international organizations, and the media.

With the support of AAI sponsors and donors, AAI was able to target competition issues in multiple sectors and across all areas of enforcement. This includes healthcare, pharmaceuticals, digital technology, food and agriculture, telecommunications, energy, transportation, and others. As the highlights of 2020 reveal, our in-depth, expert legal, economic, and policy analysis continues to make AAI’s work impactful, widely cited, and a major force in shaping the progressive competition debate.

We look forward to serving the public interest again in 2021. However, we cannot fulfill our mission without you. Please support AAI in 2021 through a sponsorship or donation. We need your support to serve the public interest at this difficult but critical time, to make further inroads, and to support the vital role of antitrust enforcement in protecting our markets, our economy, and our democratic society.

I look forward to a successful 2021 and wish you all the best for a safe and healthy year ahead.

best,
