The Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL) is hosting AAI for a discussion about AAI’s recent report, The State of Antitrust Enforcement and Competition Policy in the U.S. Growing public concerns over mega-mergers, the proliferation of anticompetitive agreements, and growth of dominant firms are at record levels. AAI’s report puts the cumulative effects of long-term under-enforcement of the U.S. antitrust laws and a step-down in activity under the Trump administration into the spotlight.
AAI experts will discuss the major takeaways from the report. They will review the state of flagging federal antitrust enforcement and assess how private enforcers and state attorneys general can take up some of the slack, shape case law, and generate useful public debate. AAI will also highlight recent legislative proposals to reform the antitrust laws in response to concerns over declining competition.
We hope you can grab a beverage of your choice and join us on June 25 at 5 PM ET for a casual evening with new and old friends alike. Download the cocktail menu.
