In an amicus brief drafted by Advisory Board member Peter Carstensen (a professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School), the AAI says that an agreement among local bars in a university community not to discount drinks on certain nights lacked formal approval and governmental oversight to qualify for antitrust immunity. The case is Eichenseer v. Madison-Dane County Tavern League.
