On May 8, 2024, AAI announced three new members have joined the AAI Advisory Board. Brian Clark is Partner at Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP and leading litigator in agricultural antitrust cases. Deborah Elman is Partner at Garwin Gerstein & Fisher LLP with deep expertise in the financial and pharmaceutical services industries. Todd Seaver is Partner at Berman Tabacco’s San Francisco office, where he co-leads the firm’s antitrust practice group and has litigated antitrust cases involving a variety of industries, including high-tech, pharmaceutical, financial derivative, automobile, chemical, consumer electronic, biotech, diamonds and online retailing.

Brian Clark focuses on plaintiffs-side antitrust class actions, practicing extensively in federal and state courts nationwide. He has led the charge in many recent antitrust cases in the agricultural area, including price-fixing cases involving chicken, pork, beef, turkey, and peanuts. To date, in these cases alone Clark has helped recover over $500 million. He frequently presents at CLEs regarding e-discovery and is a past Member of the Sedona Conference Working Group 1, and taught an e-discovery seminar for five years at the University of Minnesota Law School. Clark also co-founded and is President of the Board of Directors for the Complex Litigation E-Discovery Forum, which is a forum for plaintiffs-side complex litigation attorneys to discuss best practices for e-discovery.
Deborah Elman focuses on all aspects of complex antitrust litigation. She a partner at Garwin Gerstein & Fisher LLP with nearly two decades’ experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex antitrust and securities fraud litigation, focusing on the pharmaceutical and financial services industries. She has represented institutional clients and individuals in class actions, opt-outs, derivative actions and arbitrations. She is a member of the Board of Public Justice, Chair of the AAJ Antitrust Subcommittee, Chair of the COSAL Amicus Committee, Vice Chair of the ABA Price Conduct Committee and a member of the Coordinated Conduct Committee of the NYSBA. She is a frequent speaker on topics involving class actions and expert witnesses.
Todd Seaver provides financial justice through his litigation of antitrust and investment-related matters, with a primary focus on litigating antitrust cases. He has litigated antitrust cases involving a variety of industries, including high-tech, pharmaceutical, financial derivative, automobile, chemical, consumer electronic, biotech, diamonds, and online retailing. Seaver also litigates asset recovery cases on behalf of institutional clients, including leadership of the firm’s landmark action against the major credit rating agencies Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s in connection with structured investment vehicles (SIVs), the most complex type of structured finance product ever marketed.
