Skitol and Brunell Articles on the Roberts Court in Antitrust Magazine
The AAI Board Chairman Bob Skitol and General Counsel Rick Brunell contributed articles to the symposium on “Antitrust and the Roberts Court” in the Summer issue of Antitrust Magazine.
Skitol’s article, entitled “The Developing Antitrust Legacy of the Roberts Court,” written with Joanne Lewers, provides an overview of the Roberts Court’s antitrust jurisprudence, highlighting significant and sometimes surprising trends.
Brunell’s article, entitled “The Roberts Court Turn to the Left?,” considers whether the recent string of plaintiffs’ victories in the Supreme Court (American Needle, Phoebe Putney, and Actavis) suggests that the Roberts Court has taken a progressive turn on antitrust doctrine. The article also discusses the implications of these victories on upcoming cases in the Court, including N.C. State Board of Dental Examiners v. FTC and Oneok v. Learjet.
