AAI Tells Senate Judiciary Committee That AT&T/T-Mobile Deal Should Be Blocked

The AAI sent a letter to Senator Herb Kohl following the hearing on the AT&T/T-Mobile merger held on May 11th before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights.  In the letter, AAI President Bert Foer states, “This latest merger will come close to replicating the original cell phone duopoly that years of public policy designed to promote wireless competition had sought to dismantle. It is likely to result in higher prices, lower quality, less innovation, and fewer choices for consumers and businesses.”
