Brunell Discusses Hospital Merger with Boston Globe

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the FTC recently signed off on the merger between two large hospital systems in the Boston area, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Leahy Health.  Under a settlement with Mass AG’s office, the merger will be subject to certain conditions, including price caps.  AAI General Counsel Richard Brunell discussed potential problems with such a conduct remedy with the Boston Globe.
