Alexander Tells Housing Wire that National Association of Realtor Rules Merit Attention

In an April 28, 2021 Housing Wire article, “Are U.S. Real Estate Commissions Illegal?” AAI Vice President of Policy Laura Alexander commented on the spate of lawsuits challenging National Association of Realtors rules on how realtor commissions are set.

The moment is ripe for litigation due to growing evidence that technology advances have not lowered consumer prices, said Laura Alexander, vice president of policy at the Antitrust Institute in Washington, D.C.

“These are very serious lawsuits,” Alexander said. “There is a good chance something will come out of them.”
