On April 5, 2024, AAI announced that Professor Jeremy Kress has joined the AAI Advisory Board. Professor Kress is Assistant Professor of Business Law at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and Co-Faculty Director of the Michigan Center on Finance, Law & Policy.
“We are delighted that Jeremy has joined the AAI Advisory Board,” said AAI President Randy Stutz. “His expertise and insight on bank regulation, systemic risk, and financial stability greatly enrich the Advisory Board and provide a unique perspective.” AAI’s volunteer Advisory Board consists of outstanding experts in the fields of antitrust law, economics, and business in the United States and abroad.
Jeremy Kress teaches Legal Issues in Finance & Banking at Michigan Ross, and he has taught Financial Regulation at Michigan Law School. Kress has served as an attorney in the banking regulation and policy group at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He has testified before Congress and serves as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Education and Industry Forum on Financial Services Culture. Kress has been featured in media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg News, NPR’s Marketplace, Politico, Yahoo Finance, and American Banker. The Financial Times has recognized Kress’ work on bank merger regulation as “highly commended” academic research with real-world impact in its Responsible Business Education Awards.
