This AAI white paper analyzes the FTC’s decision not to block Google’s acquisition of the mobile advertising firm AdMob. While the white paper is largely supportive of the FTC’s decision, it questions whether the upshot may be a mobile advertising market that is dominated by Google and Apple ad networks which will provide insufficient competition to protect advertisers, mobile web publishers and developers. The white paper was written by AAI Research Fellow Randy Stutz and AAI Director of Legal Advocacy Richard Brunell.
