AAI Testifies Before House in Hearing on the International Trade Commission and Patent Disputes

AAI President Bert Foer testified before the House Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition, and the Internet at its July 18, 2012 hearing on The International Trade Commission and Patent Disputes. Presenting an overview of problems involving standard-setting and standard-essential patents, he said the AAI hopes that the ITC will find alternatives to the automatic issuance of exclusionary injunctions, but that Congress should be prepared to step in with a customized application of the Supreme Court’s eBay opinion.
