AAI Calls on FTC to Investigate Funeral Home Merger

The AAI sent a letter to FTC Chairwoman Ramirez regarding Service Corporation International’s proposed acquisition of Stewart Enterprises Inc., calling for an investigation because “a competitive market for ‘death care’ services ensures that consumers can arrange affordable, high-quality funerals, burials, and cremations at a time of emotional adversity and vulnerability.”
