AAI has received a number of grants to support its vital research and educational mission. These include investigating the connection between vigorous competition and creating incentives for risk-taking and entrepreneurship. AAI’s grant-enabled work on why and how antitrust should consider the effects of market power on entrepreneurship has brought together different disciplines to better shape and prioritize enforcement approaches.
Other AAI initiatives made possible by grants include advising programs designed to promote small business growth through governmental incentives. Such incentives can affect competition in local and regional markets and proposals should consider those factors in their design and implementation. AAI is receptive to and seeking grant opportunities that harness the institution’s deep knowledge of competition, particularly across different industries and policy areas, in order to promote pro-competitive policy approaches and outcomes that benefit consumers, workers, and innovation.
