Senior Policy Counsel
George Slover is a senior policy counsel in Consumers Reports’ Washington, D.C. office, where he helps oversee antitrust and competition policy issues, in addition to working on a range of other consumer protection policy issues. His three decades of federal government policy experience included service in all three branches. He spent nine years at the House Judiciary Committee, two years at the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and 11 years at the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, where he also served as an Advisor to the Antitrust Modernization Commission. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School and a master of public affairs from the LBJ School.
