  • Overview

AAI’s Diana Moss joined R-CALF USA at their annual convention again in 2020 to virtually present the antitrust update. R-CALF USA’s 21st Annual Convention was held August 19th-21st in Deadwood, SD. Topics on the convention agenda include sustainable beef, U.S. trade, private enforcement in beef packing, the beef checkoff, and developments involving the Packers and Stockyards Act . Moss’s remarks at the R-CALF USA convention covered competition issues in food and agriculture raised by the COVID-19 pandemic; the Trump administration’s antitrust enforcement and regulatory “report card;” and enforcement activity in beef packing and protein processing.
