  • Overview

On October 6, join CCIA and the AAI for a luncheon event featuring a special keynote address from FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez as she speaks about the agency’s recent work at the intersection of intellectual property and antitrust, including patents.

The FTC has long taken an active interest in intellectual property policy; for example, in recent years, the FTC has been studying the behavior of patent assertion entities and their effect on competition. The Chairwoman’s remarks will be immediately followed by a panel discussion to examine the work of the FTC and antitrust enforcers in this crucial policy area.

Our panel will feature:

  • Mike Godwin, Senior Fellow, R Street Institute
  • Lisa Kimmel, Senior Counsel, Crowell & Moring
  • Matt Levy, Patent Counsel, Computer & Communications Industry Association
  • Michael Muerer, Professor, Boston University School of Law
  • Suzanne Munck, Deputy Director and Chief Counsel for Intellectual Property, Federal Trade Commission
