AAI’s Laura Alexander Speaks to Connecticut Lawmakers on Private Equity and Competition in Healthcare Markets

On September 24, 2021, AAI’s Vice President of Policy Laura Alexander was invited by Connecticut Rep. Kerry Wood to present remarks to the Connecticut State Legislature’s Insurance and Real Estate Committee’s Informational Forum on “Consolidation, Private Equity, and Drug Prices in Health Care Costs.”  The remarks focused on the findings of white paper jointly published earlier this year by AAI and The Petris Center at the University of California at Berkeley, Soaring Private Equity Investment in the Healthcare Sector: Consolidation Accelerated, Competition Undermined, and Patients at Risk.  The agenda for the forum can be found here, and video is available here.
