Alexandros Kazimirov is a Research Fellow at AAI. His research scrutinizes the repercussions of artificial intelligence startups being subsumed by tech incumbents through quasi-mergers and examines the adequacy of the regulatory response in terms of emerging market dynamics.
Mr. Kazimirov graduated from Berkeley Law School. While in law school, he served as a law clerk to Advocate General Eleanor Sharpston at the European Court of Justice. After taking the attorney’s oath, he was appointed a Transatlantic Technology Law Forum Fellow at Stanford Law School.
As an undergraduate, he studied civil law at the European University of Cyprus and the University of Athens, where he was a world finalist in the 2019 NILOS moot court competition. He received his bachelor of laws degree after writing his thesis on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
He is a member of the California State and American Bar Associations. He serves on the Board of Advisors of the SEC Historical Society. As a former service member, he maintains an active pro bono practice through the Veterans Legal Institute in Orange County, California.
