With more than 100 jurisdictions having antitrust laws, it has become difficult to keep international concerns out of a domestic antitrust case. AAI commends the direction of the International Competition Network in moving toward soft harmonization through regular conversations within the international competition community and the development of best practices. The AAI advocates increased availability of private remedies and criminal sanctions for hard-core cartels.
