John H. Shenefield to Receive Antitrust Achievement Award

During the American Antitrust Institute’s annual conference on June 19, former FTC Chairman Robert Pitofsky and former ABA Antitrust Section Chair Donald Klawiter will present the AAI Antitrust Achievement Award to John H. Shenefield. Shenefield is a partner in Morgan Lewis’s Antitrust Practice. In addition to antitrust litigation and counseling, he is also involved in international antitrust issues and has handled matters before the European Commission and the United Kingdom’s Office of Fair Trading. He was a member of the Antitrust Modernization Commission. Before joining Morgan Lewis in 1986, Shenefield served as Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division from 1977 to 1979, and as Associate Attorney General of the United States from 1979 to 1981. He also served as chairman of the National Commission to Review Antitrust Laws and Procedures from 1978 to 1979.

Shenefield is the 9th recipient of the annual AAI Antitrust Achievement Award. Past honorees are Joel Klein, Robert Pitofsky, F.M. Scherer, Alfred E. Kahn, Lloyd Constantine, Thomas B. Leary, Senators Herb Kohl and Mike DeWine, and Maxwell Blecher.
