Ticketmaster Acquisition of Live Nation: An Antitrust Summary

AAI submitted an antitrust analysis of the “merger of equals” between Ticketmaster and Live Nation to FutureofMusic.org concluding the merger probably violates the Clayton Act. The AAI investigation is still at an early stage and of course we do not have access to proprietary information which could change the analysis. In any event, the specific anticompetitive issues that we have spotted to date are detailed here.
