Prsentations from AAI's 9th Annual Energy Roundtable:

3/8/2009

AAI’s 9th Annual Energy Roundtable was a gathering of experts in antitrust and regulation from government, industry, academia, and advocacy to discuss key issues in electricity restructuring. The panel presentations and discussion at this year’s roundtable provided the opportunity to accomplish two objectives:

1. Explore the major competitive issues associated with private equity financing in the electricity sector and develop appropriate analytical approaches and policy options.

2. Assess current issues and policy options for electricity market design, with a particular focus on developing incentives for efficient pricing and entry.

The morning session focused on the competitive implications of private equity investment in the electricity sector.  The afternoon session focused on the major competitive issues surrounding market design.
